The first men and women came to Britain over two and a half million years ago. They were hunters and gatherers of food who used simple stone tools and weapons.
The originalhabitants of the British isles were Britons and belonged to a celtic race. The people who travelled to Britain were The Celts. the celts were farmers and lived in small village groups in the centreof their arable fields. They were also warlike people.

-The Romans were the first to invade britainand came to this place nearly 2000 years ago
- Britain was part of the Roman Empire for almost 400 years!
- Many English words are derived from the latin language of the Romans..but just few latinwords entered to celtic language
- Romans lived in England but the celts lived in Scotland and Wales

They speak “Englisc” (sheep, earth, dog, work and field are from English language)
