PROTESTANTISM

WHAT IS?
It is a religious Christian current that had his origin in the ideas of the German Martin Luther the 95 tésis (1517), which later would give place to the Protestant church.Also the prostentastism is characterized for believing that the salvation doesn’t depend on the works but on the faith and for considering the Bible to be the only source of all his educations.WHERE HAD BEGING?
Protestantism begining in north europe (germany) in the early 16th century in reaction to medieval roman catholic droctines and practices, especially in reguards yo salvation,justification and ecdesiology.

95 THESIS
95 Thesis Written by Martin Luther , used to display unhappiness with the Church's sale of indulgences, giving birth to Protestantism.
Brought many changes inreligion, and way of life and new religions were formed.  
-the 3 main focus was:
* no more middle men to reach God, there is a direct link.
* main focus was no longer God but was men, some ofwhich shouldn't have been in the positions they were in.
* Popes at church were not paying enough attention to those outside who were suffering and poor.


PRICIPLES:
The three fundamentalprinciples of traditional Protestantism are the following:
* Scripture Alone
The belief in the Bible as the supreme source of authority for the church. The early churches of the Reformationbelieved in a critical, yet serious, reading of Scripture and holding the Bible as a source of authority higher than that of Church Tradition. In the early 20th century there developed a less criticalreading of the Bible in the United States that has led to a "fundamentalist" reading of Scripture. Christian Fundamentalists read the Bible as the "inerrant, infallible" Word of God, as do the RomanCatholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican churches, to name a few, but interpret it in a more literal way.
