MIDTERM ASSESTMENT
« MOTIVATION »

Table of Contents :Motivation is a key to business success because it depends largely on achieving the company objectives. The truth is that many sectors still have not realized the importance of these issues andcontinue to practice management that ignores the human factor. In them, has started to be a shortage of qualified and that is why companies are looking for ways to attract and retain humanresources. Motivation is a keyword for a business. It is the essence and quintessential factor for success, productivity, competitiveness… The true leader is the one who knows how to motivate. Thegood entrepreneur, the manager, the head... with the best knowledge, the best teams if not known motivate people is doomed to be overtaken by other projects and initiatives in the medium term.Motivation is as important or more than other key variables: the ability to innovate, capital investor, strategy ... can become a wasteland with a company human resources unmotivated.
Within thecourse we have taken, we have seen that there are some theories to improve motivation, such as Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, which is “a theory that arranges the five basic needs of people,physiological, security, social, esteem and self-actualization, into the order in which people strive to satisfy them”(1). These basic needs have their own characteristics.
Physiological: this couldalso be seen as basic needs, in these basic needs it is obviously included the physiological needs to sustain human life and the survival of species. Within these basic needs , we could seeneeds such as respiration and hydration, nutritional functions, and needs to regaluate pH and temperatures. Also including needs to avoid pain, balance, expel waste from our body, and some more.
