Something in My Life

During my life I have experienced some situations that have had great impact in my life. One of my life stories that have impactedme the most would be my sister’s bulimic problem. This problem affects both, the person with bulimia and the ones around her. At first we had no clue of what was going on, until we started seeingthat something was wrong with her. The problem kept growing and I started to talk to her about how it affected every single one of us, but she would never listen to me; it was the worst feeling ever.As time went by, the problem kept growing. I felt so bad because I had tried really hard to make her understand how much it she hurt us with her actions. She started changing her attitude, and shedid not talk to me as much as she used to. I was so desperate to find a way to help her out. It got to a pint where I would not let her go to the bathroom without asking her questions because I didnot know what to do.
She went on with that problem and I was shattered. I felt as if I had failed her as a brother because I could not do anything to help her. I was upset with myself because Idid not know what to do anymore.
I decided to talk to her seriously and sat her down for 2 straight hours telling her how we all felt with the problem she had. She had no idea how much he washurting us. It is then when I realized I had opened her eyes and she was able to see how much this was affecting every person that she love. She thanked me for opening her eyes and for not giving up onher.
All though it may sound insignificant to others, this thought me something good. Never give up on anything. No matter how hard it is, if you put your mind into it and everything that you got,you can make anything possible. Never give up because if you do you will regret it all your life, just as if I had given up on my sister, she probably would not be here today. Think about it.
