The Effects of Rap and Hip Hop Lyrics on Teen Language and Behavior Essay
Nowadays is very common to see a group of rappers walking down the street, and it is because HipHop culture has a big influence in people, but mainly in teenagers, who are the most likely to adopt or involve in trending topics. These is why in this essay I would like to explain about hip hoplyrics and some ways of behaving in teens like the practice of graffiti and break dance.
First of all, it must be known that teens that tend to listen to hip hop music, are getting sexual andviolent messages from these song lyrics and they are expressed with inappropriate words that they used to keep in order to use them as normal. Unfortunately, actually Hip Hop artists leave negativeconcepts to the public through this genre, singing about denigration, drugs, alcoholic drinks and showing to the teenagers the suicide as a solution for problems or a normal activity. An important part ofHip Hop is Graffiti.
Teenagers also get involved into the Hip Hop culture by practicing graffiti, these is another way to express themselves, what they feel and some important experiences intheir life that have marked them. As everybody knows these kinds of activities are frowned upon the society, this is why rappers or people who tend to like this type of music are not friendly withpeople who do not share their likes. As well as painting in walls, rappers feel free to express their culture with break dance.
Hip Hoppers have their own and characteristic thought, so anotherway of expressing it is through the break dance; they follow their favorite artists by imitating their dance with pirouettes and difficult jumps. As we can see this is another effect of Hip Hop and...
