The purpose of this report is to describe three very different eco-tourism projects fromaround the globe.
Have you ever enjoyed your holiday destination without wounding? Do you know what eco-tourism is? The main objective of this presentation is to show that nowadays there is a newways to visit beautiful natural attractions where you can spend a wonderful holiday and at the same time to help to protect the environment. I am going to talk about three very different eco-tourismprojects: Sinking a Warship, The African Village Experience and Hippies Go Home . It is important for you to know since in this way you learn about what we can do to make our planet a better place.According to what say Virginia Evans and Bob Obee in their English course book (Upstream Upper intermediate B2+), Eco-tourism projects are becoming more and more popular, and it’s easy to see why, inEngland for example there is a group which is planning to sink a retired warship in order to use it as an artificial diving reef. It is believed that the ref will encourage eco-tourism through diving, aswell as protect fish and marine life in general.
In this same book, the authors report that the African Village Experience is an eco-tourism project which has just been launched in the SouthLuangwa National Park in Zambia. With this project, tourists will be offered the chance to encounter a wide range of wildlife and a great deal more.
Hippies Go Home is the third one, and the UpstreamUpper intermediate B2 reports that tourist organizations want to concentrate on eco-tourism and plan to organize jungle safaris because they believe such projects will attract up-market travelers in Goa’sAnjuna beach which is a place that symbolizes the carefree hippie lifestyle
