Huejutla de Reyes o Huejutla es una ciudad mexicana, cabecera del Municipio de Huejutla de Reyes,las ciudad cuenta con una población de 36,305 habitantes, mientras que el municipio con 115,786 habitantes.
A través de su historia, el nombre ha cambiado cronológicamente de la siguiente forma: Ixtlacuaxotla, Huexotla, Huaxutla y finalmente Huejutla.
En 1866, el humilde huejutlense Antonio Reyes Cabrera "El Tordo", al frente de un grupo de patriotas, atacó el destacamento de invasoresfranceses que había en el pueblo y los derrotó el 21 de mayo de ese mismo año, murió en acción de guerra.
Huejutla de Reyes lleva su nombre en memoria de aquel valiente que defendió su tierra natal y supo dar ejemplo de valor y heroísmo a sus contemporáneos y a sus descendientes.
