Industrial Revolution
During the half of the 18th century a great change in the society appears: the Industrial revolution.
This great change wasvery important because new inventions appeared that made the people’s lifetimes change.
First, the new inventions that were created made the work faster, massive & cheaper usingfewer workers for the production. One example is the textile machine that made massive production of goods. With these merchants started to make factories, were all these inventionhad to be used. The factories were a good economic source, so merchant started to make factories on the cities.
Before, only artisans could make those goods, but with the newinventions many of the artisans lost their jobs and started to migrate to the cities. The jobs infactories were bad; the people had to work many hours in the factories having an undefined salary and making elaborated tasks.
The gap between the rich and poor was bigger, because now therich people had the opportunity to live in a comfortable house and have all the basic service. On the other side, poor people lived in very small houses with few services.
Because ofthe prosperity of the factories, the death rate increased, but poor stilled lived in bad conditions making their death rate lesser.
The development of a new trail and theconstruction of railroads, made the exchange between merchants easier and faster.
Another great invention was the steam engine, which turns the hydraulic energy into mechanical energy, making apowerful source for moving heavy machines. That made the factories better in production, but mistakes continued appearing. So many programs were developed for fixing those mistakes.
