2)The geneva summit was a failure only only by the standars of the naive public. The conference came and went, leaving little but propaganda in its wake, precisaly becuase propaganda wasall that the major players wanted. Eisenhower wanted to get credit for talfing peace without giving any ground in the arms race or anything else, and he succeeded.

3) One main different betweenEisenhower doctrine and Truman doctrine is that Eisenhower was stricter with the soviet problem than Truman. His new policy was to set up an alliance to encircle the Soviet Union called SEATO, they alsoset up a stronger CIA, for cover more operations and saying. Moreover, its policy of the brink man was quiet similar to Truman doctrine, this policy said that the USA was going to put on all thepress needed to made the USSR stop advancing, however Eisenhower was more efficient in implementing it. What is more, other policy of Eisenhower doctrine, was the Roll-back policy, this is the mostdifferent from Truman’s idea. Truman wanted to pushback communism, he wanted them to move back, while whit the Roll-back policy Eisenhower only stop communism, they not allow them to keep expanding, becausethey believed that communism will fall by their own fault, only by stopping their expansion

4)Nikita Khruscher wanted to wreck relations between the two countries, at that time Eisenhower waspresident. Both countries knew that the US was flying U2 planes over the USSR for years. They flew so high that the USSR couldnt do anything with them.The optimism from the US short-lived, because fewdays later the soviets announced that an American plane had been shot down over the Soviet Union.This happened because Gary Powers flew his U2(plane) so low that a soviet missile hit it and bring itdown.The americans tried to claim it was a wheather plane but the soviets were even able to reveal that the aircraft was a high alttitude, photo reconnoissance plane.Later Gary Powers , the pilot, was...
