4)Originally, the term may have been intended literally—"a boy who tends cows." It´s a man employed to take care of the cow in a ranch. It´s first documentation was in1725. During the 19 century cowboys bécame criminals, often organized in groups.

5) In 1848 Sacramento was created by Samuel Brannan and John AugustusSutter, Jr. Around an “embarcadero” that Sutter´s father had created. That place became quickly famous for the discovery of gold in the river.

6) Levi Straussinvented jeans and his brand was called “Levi´s” and became one of the most important brands of all time.7) Bison, better known as buffalo was a vital resource animal for the Plains Indians, providing food, hides for clothing and shelter, and bones for implements.Horses were one of the most important animals of the old west because of their usefulness. They were the quicklier way of transport in those times.
The cow werethe third most important animal because they provided milk, meat and hides or clothing.

8) The Pony Express was a fast mail service crossing the GreatPlains, the Rocky Mountains, and the High Sierra from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California. It became the west's most direct means of east-west communicationbefore the telegraph.
