Porfirio diaz mori: Porfirio Díaz Mori was born in Oaxaca on 15 September 1830. His parents were José Faustino Diaz and Petrona Mori. He studied law at the Institute of Science and Arts of the same city.
in 1854 he joined the forces of John N. Alvarez managed to overthrow President Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana emphasized in the War of Reform (1858-1860), defeating the Conservatives in several battles. In 1861 he became deputy from Oaxaca.
During the French invasion of Mexico (1861-1867) Porfirio Diaz excelled in battle of Puebla (1862), Miahuatlán (1866) and Coal (1866), contributing significantly to the final victory of President Benito Juarez.
In 1867 and 1871 presidential candidate, but both times he was defeated by Benito Juárez. On November 8, 1871 started the revolution to overthrow the Noria Juárez, but he died in 1872, and the power went to Sebastian Lerdo de Tejada.
From 1884-1911 Porfirio Diaz ruled dictatorially getting re-elected on. He favored his supporters with huge estates and promoted the arrival of foreign capital in mining, oil and industry.Meanwhile most of the Mexican people suffered marginalization and poverty.
Reelected in 1910 after jailing opposition candidate Francisco Madero, who upon release from prison has called on the national rebellion that was followed by many warlords antireeleccionistas. Thus began the Mexican Revolution.
He died in Paris on July 2, 1915.
