Simple past
Simple Past tense is used to describe actions that have happened in an earlier time and have already completed, for example:
She cleaned her house. Ella limpió su casa.
I broke the window. Yo rompí la ventana.

Both the negative interrogative form as DID is used as an auxiliary that is the past form of the verb "TO DO" and accompanies the main verb in its infinitive form. Negationscan be used in the contracted form of DID or DID NOT. In the top box uses the verb To Play (play) as an example.In expressing a prayer in Past Simple is understood that the action is unrelated to the present, as shown in the following cases:

He lost the keys. He lost the keys.
(Perhaps in the present you find them).

She sent me a book. She sent me a book.
(It may already have returned).
It isalso possible to indicate the time the action takes time to indicate more precisely:

They saw the movie last night. They saw the movie last night.
We went to London yesterday. We went to London yesterday.

To form a sentence in past tense we must distinguish two types: regular verbs and irregular verbs. In the first case is the Past Simple ED adding the ending to the infinitive, while irregularsare so called not to follow a certain pattern and in this case must be studied individually.

Note: "wasnot" = "wasn't", "were not" = "weren't".
