“Simplicity does not just happen. "La simplicidad no es por casualidad. The evolutionary trend is the other way.Things get even more complex as we keep adding on and seeking to deliver more. Simplicity needs a determined effort. There has to be the will to make things simpler. There also has to be some special thinking. Designing for simplicity is not as difficult as trying to simplify something which is already in progress.” La tendencia evolutiva es la otra manera. Las cosas se ponen aún más complejas amedida que seguir sumando y en tratar de ofrecer más. Simplicidad necesita un esfuerzo determinado. Tiene que haber la voluntad de hacer las cosas más simples. También tiene que haber una reflexión especial. Diseño para la simplicidad no es tan difícil como tratar de simplificar algo que ya está en progreso".

If we are going tocompete, lead and work smarter, we need a framework and set of tools that help us cut through the clutter, that allow us to focus on what is important and not waste our time on the rest. We need the power of simplicity. Si se va a competir, el aplomo y trabajar con más inteligencia, necesitamos un marco y un conjunto de herramientas que nos ayudan a atravesar el desorden, que nos permiten centrarse enlo importante y no perder el tiempo en el resto. Tenemos el poder de la simplicidad.
Why is Simplicity as a value important? ¿Por qué es la simplicidad como un valor importante?
More, better, faster! Systems, procedures, technology, regulations, convention etc exist to help make our lives easier and more productive. So why are so many things often a hassle, full of complexity and frustrating?Occasionally, simplicity might just happen. Yet, on the whole simplicity does not happen by chance. You have to want to make something simple. There has to be a drive, an urge, a motivation to make things simpler. Más, mejor, más rápido! Sistemas, procedimientos, tecnología, normativa, etc convención existen para ayudar a hacer la vida más fácil y más productiva. ¿Por qué tantas cosas que muchasveces una molestia, lleno de complejidad y frustrante? En ocasiones, la sencillez sólo puede ocurrir. Sin embargo, en la sencillez su conjunto no es casualidad. Tienes que quieren hacer algo simple. Tiene que haber un impulso, una motivación para hacer las cosas más simples.

Simplicity is a process where the focus is to make the complex clear. It isabout creating the right kind of order. This order comes about from creating clarity and meaning. Edward de Bono believes that much of what we do can be made more effective and efficient by simplification. La simplicidad es un proceso donde el enfoque es hacer que el complejo claro. Se trata de crear el tipo correcto de orden. Esta orden se produce desde la creación de la claridad y sentido. Edwardde Bono cree que mucho de lo que hacemos puede ser más eficaz y eficiente por la simplificación.

Simplicity can transform a task into an opportunity, a burden into a pleasure. The challenge of achieving simplicity requires a managed approach and a lot of creative techniques, including historical review which asks whether something we traditionally take for granted is still necessary;shedding, where we eliminate what cannot be justified; bulk & exceptions, which deals separately with majority and extreme cases; and extracting concepts, which can help us find another, simpler way of delivering the concept.
