El tema principal de este proyecto, se basa en la necesidad de las empresas del rubro de transportes de carga terrestre de controlar su insumo más importante; es decir el combustible; con el propósito de mitigar en forma eficiente el hurto, obtener estadísticas de consumos por tramos y optimizar los costos asociados. Se hace evidente que cadavez es más necesaria la integración entre tecnología y diversas aplicaciones que van haciendo del control una herramienta eficiente y fidedigna.
Para cumplir con los objetivos generales, se fijaron cinco objetivos específicos, los cuales están orientados a definir los parámetros a ser obtenidos; definir el equipamiento requerido para alcanzarlos; el desarrollo de una herramienta de software quepermita su interpretación y análisis de manera eficiente y sencilla; posteriormente un levantamiento del parque automotriz para lograr una homologación de manera de poder integrarla a la tecnología propuesta; finalmente evaluar la factibilidad técnica- económica del proyecto.
En el desarrollo de la solución se contempla un dispositivo de monitoreo del CANBUS de los tracto-camiones, elcual recepciona los parámetros y vía la unidad de envío de datos GPRS, integrada al GPS de los equipos, envíe los antes definidos a un servidor central, el cuál además de almacenarlos en una Base de Datos, permitiría su posterior análisis vía un software de arquitectura cliente-servidor.

The focus of this project is based onthe need for companies in the area of land freight transport to control their most important input, in the fuel in order to efficiently mitigate theft, obtaining statistics of consumption by sections and optimize costs. It becomes clear that it is increasingly necessary integration between technology and various applications ranging control by efficient and reliable tool.
To meet the overallobjectives were set five specific objectives, which are aimed at defining the parameters to be obtained; define the equipment required to achieve them, developing a software tool that allows interpretation and analysis in an efficient and simple , then lifting the car park to get an approval so that they could integrate the proposed technology, and finally evaluate the technical and economicfeasibility of the project.
In developing the solution includes a monitoring device CANBUS of tractor-trailer trucks, which recepciona parameters and sending unit via GPRS data, integrated with GPS equipment, as defined above to send a central server , which besides the storing in a database, would allow further analysis via a software client-server architecture.
