SHORT STORY

I’d been driving for an hour before I noticed the sound of breathing coming from the back seat.
I hadworked and had had to share the new business idea to my partners. After work I met with a friend in the park. She had lost herdog somewhere and she asked me to help, so we had to go to find it. We couldn't find her dog. Then, I had to drive to myhouse so I went to the car park.
I had to get there faster so I decided to take a shortcut. However, I was totally lost."I'd better stop for lunch and ask directions", I think, so I pulled up at a fast food restaurant. I ordered a big hamburgerand I noticed that people began to look my car… but I didn't know why. Then I asked for the bill and drove to my house.I’d been driving for an hour since then. I'd been listening to music and hadn't noticed the sound of breathing coming from theback seat. I started to get nervous. The breathing became more intense but I didn't want to see the back seat.
Quietly, Itook a penknife from my handbag, I turned and said: “Out of my car….” I couldn’t believe it! It was a dog. I had to callto my friend and told her the story. “I can’t believe it; you thought that my dog was a murder! You’re crazy!” she said.
