ARRECIFALVERACRUZANO
Veracruz Reef System consists of 17 reefs of which 11 are located in front of Anton Lizardo and the rest in front of the Port of Veracruz in the municipalities ofVeracruz, Boca del Río and Alvarado. Its area is 52.238 ha. This system is one of the most important in Mexico because of its size and the number of species, as well as by the variety of coralswhich, in turn, allow the establishment of shellfish such as clams, snails and slugs polychaete worms and annelids, among others, echinoderms such as starfish, sea urchins andbiscuits. In addition there are a number of fish and crustaceans such as shrimps and lobsters.
