Princess of FranceRosaline, Katherine and Maria: 3 ladies who catch the fancy of the King´s lords.
Boyet: messenger of the Kings court.
Don Armado: He falls in lovewith Jaquanetta.
Mote: Don Armado`s page.
Costard: he is the funny one. He is theone who switches the letters.
Jaquanetta: a prostitute.
SirNathaniel: the priest.
Holofernes: a schoolmaster.
Dull: he provides a dull contrast to their scholarship.
Mercade: a Lord attending on the princess. Hetells the Princess that her father had died.
The King of Navarre and his 3 lords, made a pact that consisted in study 3 years without seeing women.They receive a letter from Don Armado telling them that he caught Costard and Jaquenetta consorting in the park.
The Princess of France visit theKing. Because of the pact the King couldn’t receive the Princess and her party at his court; he and his lords visit them at their camp outside thecastle. The lords fall in love with the ladies, as does the King with the Princess. Berowne made a letter to Rosaline, but Costard accidentally switches itwith the letter from Don Armado to Jaquenetta.
The princess and the ladies decided to switch favors so the King and the lords don’t recognize them.A messenger arrives to tell the Princess that her father has died, and she prepares to return to France. The King and the lords break the pact.
