1.  Tom sure is full of hijinks.  Where does he get them all from?  What is his inspiration?
Tom gets them from books he reads his inspiration is the trill he gets from it. He considers hisadventures more fun and daring.
2.  Finally, they escape with Jim.  But not for long.  Consider Jim's role at the end of Chapter 40 and Huck's "I knowed he was white inside" (276).  Does that page informus at all regarding Huck and/or Jim?  Explain.
With this episode we find one more time that Jim truly is, not only the reader but also Huck keeps on realizing the good person Jim is and admires andrespects him each time more. Jim shows his humanity to save Tom even though that could cost him his freedom, he feels it is the right thing to do since he felt Tom would do the same for him.
3.  Tommay be delirious but he is, for once, bent on telling the truth.  What important information does he reveal and what does that explain?  Bearing that fact in mind, does this change your perception ofTom?
Some important information that is reveled is that Miss Watson passed away; on her will she stated that Jim could be a free man. I think this made me change my mind about Tom since I alwaysthought he had different intentions, I thought he did it to be nice person and help an innocent man out.
4.  Jim has a secret, too.  What is it?
Jim’s secret he knew that the man who had died andwas lying on the floor was Pap. Jim did not tell Huck that that was Pap to protect him. He believed he was doing the right thing by keeping it a secret.
5.  Consider Huck's final statement.  Is Twainsaying anything about Southern civilization or civilization in general?  What does it really mean to be 'sivilized' in the context of this novel?

“Sivilied” in the context of this novel was theidea of being educated, the type of education where black men were inferior, that freeing a black man was not the correct thing to do.
