The Barston Symphony Orchestra went to Barcelona to perform a concert. When they arrived in Barcelona Frank Shepherd (manager of the Barston Symphony Orchestra) said toPenny Wade that her double bass was missing. They went to hotel.
In the morning Penny went to the dining room, her boyfriend Simon Hunt was at the table; he told Penny that she could use his double bassin the concert that night, because he hurt his hand, she was happy.
Penny was waiting for Adriana in the hotel reception area, she read an article about a famous painting (The gardener) that hadbeen stolen from Tate Gallery in London. Penny and other people from orchestra went to de beach.
The concert started until 10 pm, Penny played the Simon’s double bass. He was near the front. For thesecond half Simon sat at the back of the theatre. When the concert ended Penny didn’t see Simon, she was tired and she went to bed.
At 5 pm somebody was screaming, Penny woke up and went out of hisroom. She went out the hotel, there was a police car and many people, somebody was in the floor, he was Frank Shepherd, he was died. Inspector Portillo, from the Barcelona police, told everyone to goback to bed.
Simon came to Penny’s room, and Penny asked where he was the night after the concert? He answered that he went to a few bars. Three and a half hours later Inspector Portillo asked Pennysome questions about the last night, he was investigating about Frank’s death.
In the evening some of the orchestra members went out to dinner. Candida Ashley-Morton was sitting at one of the tables,Marilyn Whittle was standing up she asked to Candida if she pushed Frank out of the windows, Candida answered that no, Marilyn was shouting Candida, everybody on street stopped to watch. Adrianawalked over to the harp player, she hit Marilyn hark in the face, Marilym ran out of café.
The next morning Penny couldn’t find Simmon anywhere. The Inspector Portillo came to hotel to talk with more...
