THE TRUE STORY OF ROMEO AND JULIET
Prologue
The city is busy and colour because there is a street fair in the piazza maggiore.Young ladies take this opportunity to step outside their houses. The boys gather around the fountain.
Summer is usually warm in Verona , but when boys meet girls it can get really hot.(Narrator)
(Sound of place)
ACT I – SCENE ONE
Thursday morning at the piazzamaggiore. (Narrator)
Romeo – Oh , Mercutio, waiting is so awful. Where´s my adorable Lilly? Will she come this morning? Have you seen her?
Mercutio – No, I haven´t seen your love .By the way , why don´t you tell her what you feel about her and stop mooning around all over Verona? But look who´s coming!
Romeo – Oh , no! There´s Tybald and his disgusting friends.
Tybald approaches with twofriends.
Tybald-(Sarcastically) Well, well , well! Isn´t this Romeo Montague, the best flute player in in town ?...
Still taking flute lessons?
Romeo –Yes , and I´m doing fine. I´m going to play in the festival the day after tomorrow.
Tybald – You?! In the festival?! Ha! Ha! Ha!... In the great festival? You´re kidding!...Did you hear that , pals? Romeo Bowl Head is going to play in the festival!Romeo – Shut your mouth , your jerk! I´ll get you!
Romeo his Tybald in the face .Ina few minutes a bloody fight is going on in the middle off the piazza maggiore. (Narrator)



SCENE TWO
Juliet and her nanny come around the corner. (Narrator)
Nanny – Oh, Lord! The boys are fighting again!
Juliet – That´s ridiculous! I´ll show them how to behave in public places.
Nanny – But , ladyJuliet , there are five of them.
Juliet – Don´t worry. They´re only five stupid boys.
Some minutes later Juliet has knocked all five boys out.
Juliet – What same! Is this the way to behave in front of ladies , gentlemen?
Tybald – I´m sorry , cousin Juliet!
Juliet – Look at you , Tybald ! Now , go home ! As for you ,Romeo…
Romeo – Cut that out , General Juliet ! I don´t want to listen to you .I hate you!
Juliet – I hate you , too!

SCENE THREE
A few minutes later in the Capulets ´house , Mr. Capulet is in his library. (Narrator)
Mrs. Capulet – (Knocking at the door and entering the room.) I´m sorry to interrupt you , milord.
Mr. Capulet – Come in , come in , milady.
Mrs. Capulet – It´s Juliet again.
Mr. Capulet – Don´t tell me she …
Mrs. Capulet – Yes , sir . She did itagain . She´s just beaten up five boys at the piazza . Romeo Montague included .Oh , Giovanni! What a tragedy!
Mr. Capulet – Dio mio , Carmela !(Walking around the room angrily) What a shame! What will everybody say? What will the Montague say?
Mrs. Capulet – We have to do something about her!
Mr. Capulet – Urgently.
Mrs. Capulet – If she goes on like this no one will marry her.
Mr. Capulet –Positively.
Mrs. Capulet – Not even Romeo Montague .
Mr. Capulet – Absolutely! We´ve already arranged everything with the Montagues.
Mrs. Capulet – Yes, Giovanni. Romeo and Juliet must marry…And quickly.

SCENE FOUR
Meanwhile at the Montague´s place. (Narrator)
Mr. Montague – I simply cannot believe it ! Our Romeo involved in a fight with the Capulets again.
Mrs. Montague – Yes , Arturo, and again Juliet hit our Romeo.
Mr. Montague – We have to do something about them , Gioconda.
Mrs. Montague – Yes, very quickly . Otherwise these children may spoil our arrangement with the Capulets.
Mr. Montague – Dare not say that again , Gioconda. The Capulets and the Montague are the most powerful families in Verona. We have to join our properties as soon as possible. We have to actimmediately.
Mrs. Montague – Maybe it´s time for Romeo and Juliet to know about our plans.
Mr. Montague – That´s right. Go and speak with Romeo. I´ll call the Capulets.













ACT II – SCENE ONE
A few minutes later Juliet in her bedroom. She´s crying. (Narrator)
Nanny – (Entering.) Juliet! What´s happened , my child? You´re crying on you birthday!
