The purpose of the commercial is to sell beer.
The target market are clearly the people who drink. In the commercial saysup 16 years, because it is made in Germany, and at this age is that you can legally drink there.
The first three commercials speak for themselves, it means, the use of words are not require toexpress what they want us to see. This may indicate how good these commercials are, for example, The Walk In Closet comercial, although the people in the advertisment speak German, anyone can understandthe point of the ad. These three Heineken commercials are not strictly directed to men, like most of the typical beer commercials, these have more range of audience; the reason of this, is that theyare using stereotypes, but they are not using the typical stereotype of women used in the other type of beer ads, sexy and erotic, but instead they use the stereotype of women in men, who, as we know,do not act like that because of a closet, crying and getting emotional and excited about it, but women do, so they are using a stereotype, but not an offensive one. they are use in a funny way.
Thesecommercials are funny with a purpose. All they want is the ad to be remembered and that the people talk about them, because the purpose is to spread them so much that they become known or famous. Thegoal is to attract new people who can buy the beer, so the people who doesn´t know the brand of the beer, when they watch the commercial, they can see the men acting like women, and the exciment theyhave because of the Heineken, and then want to buy it because of the reaction it supposedly causes on people. What the commercial wants to demonstrate is that beer is so good enough to get as excitedas a woman for a closet full of clothes; which makes the tone of the commercial funny.
