Purpose
This charter sets out the purpose, scopeof work, reporting requirements, and responsibilities of Corporate Audit. This charter applies to all employees of Philip Morris International Inc. (the “Company” or “PMI”).

2.1.Purpose
The Corporate Audit Department is an independent function which provides objective assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s internal control systems. 2.2. Scope of workThe scope of Corporate Audit’s work is to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company's processes for ensuring the integrity of its financial reporting, implementing internal controls, andmonitoring compliance with Company Principles & Practices and functional standards. In particular, the Department will assess the controls, procedures, and systems in place to ensure: Reliability andintegrity of financial and operational information, and the means used to identify, classify, secure, and report such information; Safeguarding of assets; Compliance with Company principles,practices, and standards; and the Cost-effective and efficient use of resources. The Department also assists management by identifying opportunities for operational improvements or productivity enhancements,and by providing business support services. 2.3. Independence
While reporting administratively to the Chief Financial Officer, the Vice President Corporate Audit is responsible to the AuditCommittee, to which the Vice President Corporate Audit has direct and ongoing access. Corporate Audit personnel have full access to all company records, locations, and company management appropriate for thesuccessful, complete, and timely execution of their responsibilities.
