Tomatina

We are in Buñol ,a little town of Valencia, where is held the Tomatina's festival.
And we have a guest on Brian Camp. He is a participant of the Tomatina'sfight.
And he now going explain to us a little about of Tomatina's fight and as he knew this festival.

Thank you for invite me, I'm very grateful for I can explain to you my sensations when I participate in Tomatina's fight,and a little about the history of the tradition of Tomatina.

Since when you participated in Tomatina's fight?

I participated for first time when I waseighteen years old. Peronally, I think that Tomatina's festival is a perfect party for a young people.

The first time you were with family or friends?

Withmy family I went to visit the village of Buñol, but we have never gone for the Tomatina's festival.
Because I think that is a event for share with friends,is more funny.

Tell us a little about the history of this tradition.

I heard that all started the last Wednesday in August 1945.Some youth were in thetown square. They were bored because they didn't know what to do.One of them began throwing tomatoes at people and caused a war of tomato. The following year hereturned to do and the Tomatina's fight has converted in a tradition of Buñol.
Is a interesting history, and a very funny tradition.Thanks for all you explainto us .Next year I promise that I go to go to Tomatina's festival.
