Description of the Public Space

1. Where is the spacelocated, and what is its setting? (Downtown, neighborhood, waterfront, city center, business or entertainment districts, historic area, parks, etc.)

The place I chose is located in the city center and its setting are two school, houses, one gas station, a supermarket and one cafe.

2. What role, if any, did plans and planning contribute to the creation of the space? Is there special zoningor ordinances that allowed for the creation of the space?

Urban planning has determined that this site was found in a residential area because it had a recreacional and sportly role to play for city people.

3. How large is the area?

The area is about seven and a half hectares.

1.What landscape features are present? How do they contribute to the unique or special nature of the space?
In this place we can find open spaces of grass and trees, too small hills for biking and hiking trails for exercise.

2. How does the space accommodate pedestrians or others whose access to the space is by transit, bicycles, or other means? Is the spacewelcoming to those with physical disabilities or others with special needs?

This place accommodates pedestrians and all kind of people. It has a multiple option for access, for example, people can access in car and park it safety. The place is welcoming to those with physical disabilities or special needs because it has big spaces with green areas and outdoor benches, but I think it have to beimproved in bathrooms for the disabilities and on roads for easier access to them.

3. Does the space accommodate multiple activities?

Yes, this space accommodates many activities, it has soccer and basketball fields at the outdoor, a running track, a tennis court, BMX track, games for the children, recently ramps to skate, and also has indoor courts where you can practice hockey, basketball,figure skating, and soccer baby

4. What purpose does it serve for the surrounding community?

It serves like a place near to citizens homes to recreate them, share with family and the rest of the community, do outdoor activities, have a safe place to run or exercise, to play sunday football with friends, having also a place where their childrens can have access to multiple sports, for examplefigure skating for the girls and hockey for the boys.

5. How does the space utilize existing topography, vistas, or geography? Does it provide interesting visual experiences, vistas, or other qualities?

6. How are murals or other public art incorporated into the space?

No, this public space don’t have murals or other art .

Activities and Sociability

1. What activities make the spaceattractive to people and encourage social interaction? (Commerce, entertainment or performances, recreational or sporting, cultural, markets or vending, exhibits, fairs, festivals, special events, etc.)

I think this space is missing promote art because the sport and activities sport has many, so do some kind of exposure and give artists cavity design certain areas of the site or to paint somemurals, it would give way to a more complete and more welcoming place

2. Does the space provide a sense of comfort and safety to people gathering and using the space? Does the space provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere?
