It is snowing and I am feeling homesick. I am thinking of you. Outside, the sidewalks arecrowded with people. All of them are wearing heavy coats, boots, hats, and gloves. Everyone is in a hurry. Buses and cars are moving up and down the street. Inside, it is warm and pleasant. There are two pretty girls at the table next to mine. They are laughing and talking. In fact, I think one of the girls is smiling at me. Several students from my school are sitting at the counter. Oneof them is reading a newspaper while he is eating. An old man is sitting at a small table near the window. The waitress is serving him a piece of pie. It looks delicious. I am fine. I am learning a lot in my classes. I like most of my teachers and classmates. I attend classes every afternoon, but I have plenty of time to study in the morning. I am having a good time in Chicago.
