TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

The development of Human Resources is one of the most important topics that are carried out by the department of Human Resources. Orientation, training, employeedevelopment or career planning are some of the activities that conform this task.
Training refers to the current job of the employee and pursues the development of skills in order to perform to standard.Development refers to future needs and goals of the company for the long term with the intention of performing beyond what is expected from the employee.
Training
Is the process of providing employeeswith specific skills or correcting deficiencies in their performance.
Some of the reasons why companies need training are the following: to get people involved with the values and goals of thecompany, to organize better the job and time used in it and to help people to assume and accept changes.
In order to define a successful training program we need to identify the staff that will actuallyneed it and the right moment for the company to carry it out. Goals that are pursued with the program need to be clearly defined as well as the tools that are going to be used in order to measure theoutputs.
We can distinguish four phases within the training process, which are the assessment of the needs, the development of the process, its implementation and the subsequent evaluation.
Ourprogrammes
We recently acquired a hotel, which was already operating, but as it was mentioned before, we will just replace a few persons because of the importance, due to their position, of their goalsbeing aligned with the ones of the company. For all the other people working for the hotel, the Human Resources team will develop a training process in order to get them involved with the company andto make them feel part of it so that they understand why we need them and what we need them to do.
