INSTRUCCIONES PARA OBTENCIÓN DEL NIE (NÚMERO DE IDENTIFICACIÓN DE EXTRANJERO)

A las personas que vayan a residir en España durante más de 6 meses les será asignado un NIE en España, el cual irá
incorporado en la tarjeta de residente o deestudiante que deberán solicitar en las oficinas de extranjería.
Las personas que no vayan a viajar a España o que vayan a hacerlo durante menos de 6 meses y que tengan allí
intereses económicos que motiven la necesidad del NIE (constitución de una sociedad, compraventa de inmuebles,
operaciones bancarias, declaraciones de impuestos, etc.), podrán solicitarlo tanto en España como en esta oficina,personalmente o mediante representante autorizado por poder notarial, o bien por correo, aportando los siguientes
documentos:
1.- Pasaporte, original y fotocopia. Si aporta o envía únicamente una fotocopia, deberá ir notarizada.
2.- Formulario de solicitud EX15 (descárguelo desde nuestra Web). Ver en página a siguiente instrucciones al respecto.
Este impreso deberá ser cumplimentado desde elordenador. Antes de cerrar el documento, tenga en cuenta que no
podrá guardar los cambios, por lo que deberá imprimirlo directamente después de cumplimentarlo. La firma del
formulario se llevará a cabo:
- Si la solicitud se presenta personalmente por el interesado, se firmará en estas oficinas, en presencia del
funcionario competente.
- Si se presenta por representante autorizadonotarialmente, será éste el que firme en el Consulado. En este caso
deberá cumplimentar el apartado 2 con los datos del representante (ver página siguiente).
- Si se envía por correo, la firma deberá ir notarizada ante fedatario público americano, en el mismo formulario EX15.
3.- Modelo 790 código 012 (descárguelo de nuestra Web). Este modelo esta disponible únicamente en formato pdf, por
lo que Vd.deberá rellenarlo a mano. Ver más abajo instrucciones al respecto.
4.- Abono Tasa consular por solicitud de NIE (consulte en nuestra Web).
En el momento de la presentación Vd. deberá comunicar las razones que motivan dicha solicitud.

If you are going to live in Spain for more than 6 moths, your NIE will be incorporated in your Resident/Student Card, for
which you must apply upon arrival.
If you need a NIE because you have business or economic interests in Spain and you are nottravelling to Spain or your
travel is shorter than 6 months, you can apply for a NIE in Spain or in this office, personally or by a person representing
you with a Power of Attorney, or by post mail, with the following documents:
1.- Passport, original and one copy. If you are providing or sending only a copy, it must be notarized.
2.- EX15 form, (downloadable from our Web site). See below instructionson how to fill it out.
This form should be filled out directly with a computer. Please note that you will not be able to save your modifications, so
you should print it immediately after you finish filling it out. To sign the document, you must either:
- Appear personally at this Consulate and sign in the presence of the official in charge.
- Send a representative with a notarized Power ofAttorney who will be signing in your name at the Consulate. Please
complete all the representative´s personal details required in the second part of the EX15 form (see below for
instructions).
- Send by post mail with your signature notarized on EX-15 form.
