Como la cimentación superficial, también
la cimentaciónprofunda, incluyendo los
estratos de suelo o roca situados debajo,

generalmente
aceptadas:
pilotes y
pilares.

Pilotes
Los pilotes son fustes relativamente
largos y esbeltos que se introducen en el
terreno.
Aunque algunas veces se hinca en el
q

terreno pilotes hasta de 1.50 m de
diámetro, por lo general sus diámetros
son inferiores a 60 cm.

Pilares
Los pilares son de mayor diámetro y se
construyen excavando y, por lo general,
permiten una inspección ocular del suelo o roca
donde se apoyarán.
Los pilares son en realidad cimentaciones que
trabajan como zapatas o plateas a gran
profundidad.
