This Didactic Unit is for Infant Education, specifically for second cycle, for children of five years old.
TITLE
“The musical instruments”.
The title of this didactic unit is descriptive.
SESSIONS
The Didactic Unit has five sessions: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Stations.
TIMINIG
These sessions will be carried out on Mondays andWednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. during English classes, to obtain the maximum attention level of the children, according to the curve of attention.
Will be run from the 1st of October to 15th of October.
OBJECTIVES
* To understand orally the vocabulary of the instruments.
* To develop auditory attention.
* To speak using instruments vocabulary and messages.
* Tobecome familiar with the culture of English speaking countries.
* To use English and a PC to learn about the music.
1st SESSION: LISTENING
Presentation: Listening to “musical instruments” vocabulary looking at flashcards.
Practice: Listening to a song “the music man” doing actions.

Production: Doing the worksheet. Listen and circle on thecorrect picture.
2nd SESSION: Listening + SPEAKING
Presentation: Listening and repeating “musical instruments” vocabulary looking at flashcards.
Practice: Listening and singing the song “The music man”.
Production: Playing “What’s in the magic box today?”
3rd SESSION: Listening + Speaking + READING
Presentation: Saying “musical instruments” vocabulary from reading cards and listening andrepeating vocabulary words from reading cards.
Practice: Doing an alphabet soup about musical instruments.
Production: Playing reading bingo (pictures and words)
4th SESSION: Listening + Speaking + Reading + WRITING
Presentation: Saying “musical instruments vocabulary from reading cards and reading vocabulary words from reading cards.
Practice: Playing unite images with words at theblackboard.
Production: Reviewing and fill out words at the worksheet.
5th SESSION: STATIONS
Station 1: Playing the instruments.
Station 2: Doing a Craft “my rain stick“.
Station 3: Playing domino about musical instruments.
