Context (school, class, level)

Our didactic unit is intended for students in first grade of Primary Education. The school is located in San Esteban de Gormaz, the name is Virgen del RiveroCEIP. San Esteban de Gormaz is a village at the east of Soria’s province.
We have a classroom of twenty students in which all the students have a previous knowledge of the stage of child education. Our classroom is composed of twelve boys and eight girls whose age is six years. Among these students we have two students from South America and one from África, these students are totally integrated inthe centre, and they have the same level as their classmates.
The village has a population about 3.000 inhabitants and in its environs we have the great resources as the Duero River and grape vines, which help us with our didactic unit because it is about the fruits and will do the knowledge more significative.
In the village there are all the services. The main economic sector is based inindustry, principally the wine industry due to the fame of the wine in this area.
The school has Primary and Child Education and there are about two hundred students. The school has these resources:
• Library.
• A big playground.
• Study room.
• Computer room.
• Assembly hall.
• Staffroom.
• Canteen.
• Laboratory.
• Guidance department.
• English department.
• Gym.
• Classrooms ofprimary and child.
• Support classroom.
• Classrooms equipped with interactive blackboard.
• Music classroom.
• Video room.
• Other resources as TV, DVD, image projector…
Our classroom is located in Primary building, in the ground floor near to the school entry. It is sunny and with views to the playground.
Finally, note that the teacher's desk has a computer connected to the interactivewhiteboard, where children can see pictures or perform various activities to promote ICT.

Aims

As established in the Spanish Law of Education (LOE) Real Decreto 1513/2006, de 7 de diciembre (BOE n. 293, de 8 de diciembre de 2006)
1. To listen and to understand verbal messages in a variety of interactions, using the information provided for various specific tasks related to their experience.2. To express and to interact orally in simple and routine situations with a known content and development, using verbal and nonverbal processes and adopting an attitude of respect and cooperation.

3. To write texts with varied purposes previously treated in the classroom and with the help of models.

4. To read comprehensively various texts related to their experiences and interests,extracting general and specific information according to a previous order.

5. To learn use with progressive autonomy all means available, including new technologies for obtain information and to communicate in the foreign language.

6. Assess the foreign language and languages in general as a means of communication and understanding between people of different cultures and as a learning tool ofdifferent contents.

7. To show a receptive attitude and confidence in the ability of learning and foreign language use.

8. To use knowledge and prior experience with other languages for fast effective and autonomous foreign language acquisition.
