Que ECOLOGICAL TOURISM IN PERU
Peru is a country located in the subtropical area of South America represented by the jungles and rainforests that areimportant ecosystems on our planet. During the last century people have destructed more than a half of the world´s rainforests. The dramatic steps are to be taken toprevent further destruction; otherwise such remarkable places will no longer exist on the Earth.
Tourism is now the largest foreign currency-earner in Peru becauseof historical attractions and numerous natural resources. Ecotourism became an integral part of it. Ecotourism in Peru includes not only the nature preservation,but also the conservation and the preservation of the historical landmarks. The aim of ecotourism is to raise public environmental awareness. Nowadays more andmore volunteers are coming to Peru to help save the beauty of vulnerable nature. Another aim of course is to generate money for the local economies to provideconservation efforts.
Peru is home to some magnificent natural attractions. It is a paradise for nature lovers, especially birdwatchers. Mammoth bird and the mightycondor can be found here. Besides birds, you will also see more than three thousand species of orchids. The number of butterfly species in Peru is more than 4000. It is home to marine mammals and numerous species of primates. Alpacas, vicuñas, guanacos and lamas can be seen throughout the Peruvian Andes. These animalsare an integral part of Peruvian culture, lifestyle, history and traditions. All that combined makes Peru an ideal place for exploring its flora and fauna
