UNIT 11

Baby: An infant or very young child.

Ballet shoe : A type of flat soft shoe worn by ballet dancers.

Baseball cap: A tightly fitting hat, originally worn by baseballplayers, with a long flat piece at the front to protect the eyes from the sun.

Boot: A type of shoe that covers the whole foot and the lower part of the leg.

Changing room: A room where peoplecan change their clothes, for example before and after sports or, in a shop, where people can try on clothes before buying them.

Cherish: To love, protect and care for someone or something that isimportant to you.

Chewing gum: A sweet that you keep in your mouth and chew to get its flavor, but which you do not swallow.

Choose: To decide what you want from two or more things orpossibilities.

Coat: An outer piece of clothing with sleeves which is worn over other clothes, usually for warmth.

Credit card: Any card that may be used repeatedlyto borrow money or buy products and services on credit. Issued by banks, savings and loans, retail stores, and other businesses.



Dark : With little or no light.

Deny : To say that something is not true.

Dress : A piece ofclothing for women or girls which covers the top half of the body and hangs down over the legs.

Fair: With pale yellow or gold hair.

Fresh : New; different or another. new and thereforeinteresting or exciting.

Good-looking: Describes a physically attractive man or woman.

Grey : Of the colour that is a mixture of black and white, the colour of rain clouds.

Hair: The mass of thinthread-like structures on the head of a person, or any of these structures that grow out of the skin of a person or animal.

Handsome: Describes a man who is physically attractive in a traditional,male way.

Happiness : The feeling of being happy.

Hat : A covering for the head that is not part of a piece of clothing .

Jacket : A short coat.

Joy : Great happiness. a person...
