ABOUT A POEM

A poison tree

A I was angry with my friend:
A I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
B I was angry with my foe:
B I told it not, my wrath did grow.

C And Iwatered it in fears,
C Night and morning with my tears:
D And I sunned it with smiles,
D And with soft deceitful wiles.

E And it grew both day and night,
E Till it bore anapple bright.
F And my foe beheld it shine.
F And he knew that it was mine,

G And into my garden stole
G When the night had veiled the pole;
H In the morning glad I see,
HMy foe outstretched beneath the tree.

I believe there is some sort of connection between friend, end, foe, grow, tears, fears, smiles, wiles and the main topic, but only those words, not the rest of them.
Because allof these mentioned words are relevant to revenge, I think.

No similes, but on the 3rd stanza, the whole idea of the apple tree is a metaphor of his wrathgrowing

My wrath did end, my wrath did end are examples of hyperbaton because he could say my wrath ended, and my wrath grew, but instead he is...
