Añaños family

All started in 1988 in the middle of terrorism in Ayacucho during the first government of Alan Garcia. The family comprised by Eduardo Añaños and MirthaJeri, who had 6 children, were engaged in agriculture, but the violence didn’t allow them to continue working. They said that they saw that other beverages couldn’tenter to Ayacucho by terrorism, for that reason there wasn’t a lot of competition where the family lived, they wished that they could reach the poorest sectors. The olderbrother persuaded her father to create a soft-drink company and then the family began to pool their savings and achieve a loan of 30000 dollars, this money was used to buymachinery and supplies, which would begin Kola Real, their first machine was called Atahualpa, in an interview Jorge Añaños said that he had the machine in one of thefactories. The first taste of the soda was orange. The first store was in the yard of his house and when the company grew the brothers began to distribute their beveragesfrom store to store, then they began to make advertising with the slogan “drink fair price”. The employees of this company are highly identified with the brand, because theyfeel proud to be the David fighting a Goliath, formed by large drinks like coca-cola or pepsi. This company gives work to many people because they wish that they couldhelp to other people as much as possible. The company has seven factories strategically located in Peru in Lima, Huaura, Sullana, Trujillo and Arequipa, they also havebegun selling their products abroad with good results. The family Añaños owns brands such as Kola real, cifrut, cielo, free, sporade, franca, caral, pulp and big cola.
