MADD statistics predicted that in year 2010, 10839 car accidents produced by drunk-driving would happen. That would be one accident every fifty minutes.Alcohol harms very much our bodies; specially in the nervous system. This is because alcohol works directly on the central nervous system, which affects our neurons specially on teenagers. Thisis because teens still have youthful organs which can be poisoned by alcohol. Teens can get easily addicted to alcohol. This can bring house and school problems. Parents can startdoubting on their children. Alcohol also produces mood swings which can produce fights in the family. Teens that drink alcohol are more likely to not care about school. The New York Times said“Studies conducted over the last eight years by federally financed researchers in San Diego, for example, found that alcoholic teenagers performed poorly on tests of verbal and nonverbalmemory, attention focusing and exercising spatial skills like those required to read a map or assemble a precut bookcase.” Alcohol causes all this things, however this doesn´t end here. Teensget more problems for eating alcohol they have more sexual behavior which can lead to unwanted pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases. Teens can also commit suicide or homicides.Another thing is that teens can do bad things when they are drunk, or other people may take approach of them. For example in the book “The Pigman” the party that John and Lorraine had endedchaotically. The house ended almost wrecked, there were people making out, the cops hat to get there. It was a disaster. Many accidents happen when teens get drunk. However I want to point outalcohol s bad for all ages its not on teens only. To conclude, I want to clear that teens get very affected by alcohol in every way. They get affected physically, mentally and socially.
