Almost death
Last summer I went to the beach with my family, every summer we go to the beach because my uncles, aunts and cousins come for vacation.
But that summer was quite different, it startedlike any morning; we arrived to the beach and went to the water! My cousins, my sister and I were playing with the water, swimming near the shore and having fun. Minutes before the lunch everybodywent to the tent to eat but I wanted to stay in the water for a while.
I have been in a swimming course so I know how to swim but I’m not an expert. Anyway, I really like waves, I think the only goodthings of the beach are waves; so I walked and walked inside the waters waiting for the waves. I didn’t realize my sister came behind me. When I noticed her it was too late, so I held her hand and wewent crept for the waves.
I trusted the waves take us to the shore but I was wrong. We kept in the same position, it was there when I felt a yank, my sister didn’t know how to swim and her feet didn’ttouch the sand anymore.
She pulled me to the ocean and soon I didn’t felt the sand anymore. I was scared. We were scared. We were suffocating. I try to shout but I think anybody could hear us. Icouldn’t loose my sister’s hand and swim to the shore for help; I was scared to miss her. I just thought if I die here, I just want my sister alive; and I continued with my shouts.
Fortunately, my auntsaw us and she scream for help. My uncle dove and swam to save us, while my aunt and my cousins called the lifeguards. They were eating on the other side of the beach!
My uncle tried to save mysister because she is younger and she doesn’t know swimming. I felt I was dying. I could see all the moments with my family, my friends, my life in the University and all the things I’ll never do becausethought those were the last moments of my life. I didn’t believe I’d die in the ocean, because I really love the sea!
