Thepurpose of this essay is to analyze in depth the features of the scene in which the animals have just bundled Mr. and Mrs. Jones out Manor Farm and the reasons why George Orwell has appealed to certaindevices such as irony and the fable. Furthermore, the idea is to explain which is the intention of the author bringing the 3rd person writer omniscient into play.
In this paragraph, the authorcauses the reader feel comforted for the achievements of the animals. “…could hardly believe in their good fortune”. The writer is manipulating the reader through dramatic irony though, it is not going tobe discover unless the reader re reads the book. At this point of the story, the reader can be made think that the triumph of the animals is the beginning of their utopia achieved.

He reinforces the animals´ sensation of freedom going over the whole list of harnesses that, we human beings, force them to wear. The readerseems to join the animals in their feelings against human beings.
