Resumen
La violencia entre pares escolares (bullying) está inserta en la escuela venezolana, requiriéndose gestionar el problema en la búsqueda de soluciones; en función de ello, este artículo tiene como objetivo ofrecer un análisis sobre el bullying y suabordaje a través de la mediación escolar y los sistemas de convivencia. Se sustenta en los aportes teóricos de: Olweus (1998), Calcaterra (2003), Serrano (2005) Davis (2008), entre otros. Considerando que docentes y consejeros del sistema de protección del niño (a) y el adolescente deben manejar como herramienta la mediación de los conflictos, para evitar que éstos se transformen en violencia, debeimpulsarse la formación de un sujeto con plena disposición a la convivencia, con conocimiento de los derechos y de deberes que tienen en la escuela; insertos éstos en un sistema de convivencia, con normas consensuadas, trabajadas, conocidas y aceptadas por la comunidad educativa, con conocimiento de que la trasgresión da origen a sanciones que regulan la vida de ese colectivo, evitando así el«dejar hacer» y el camino a la anarquía. Sostenemos que los sistemas de convivencia y la mediación escolar son una forma de intervenir, participar y tener la capacidad para resolver las diferencias que se presenten en el contexto escolar.

Abstract
Violence between scholastic peers (bullying) is inserted in Venezuelan schools. It is required to manage theproblem through the searching of solutions; based on it, this article has the objective to offer an analysis on the bullying and its boarding through the scholastic mediation and the systems of coexistence. It is sustained, in the theoretical contributions of: Olweus (1998), Calcaterra (2003) and Serrano (2005) among others. Considering that of the system of protection of children and adolescentseducational and advisory, they must handle conflict mediation as a tool to avoid that these can develop into violence. Also, it must be impelled the formation of a subject with total disposition to the coexistence, knowledge of the rights and duties that he or she has in school; placed in a system of coexistence, with rules that are approved, worked, known and accepted by the educative community,knowing that failures give rise to sanctions which regulate the life of that group, avoiding therefore «to let do» and the way to anarchy. We maintain that systems of coexistence and the scholastic mediation are a form to take part, to participate and to have the capacity to solve the differences that appear in the scholastic context.

Introducción La violencia entre pares escolares en las escuelas venezolanas es un fenómeno que preocupa a la sociedad en general, y de manera particular a laescuela, por las repercusiones en los ámbitos psicológico y físico que se generan en los niños y jóvenes que ejercen o son victimas de este tipo de violencia. Pero lo más grave es que al parecer no se sabe cómo manejar esta situación, lo cual pone a girar la ruleta de las culpabilizaciones: es la familia, es la escuela, son los medios de comunicación, es el modelaje…, siendo todos estos...
