Business Terms:

1. Retail: To distribute in small portions or at second hand.
2. Chain: a number of similar establishments (stores or restaurants or banks or hotels or theaters) under oneownership.
3. Profits: The positive gain from an investment or business operation after subtracting for all expenses.
4. Essential: Constituting or being part of the essence of something;inherent.
5. Stock: Supply provided; store; accumulation; especially, a merchant's or manufacturer's store of goods; as, to lay in a stock of provisions.
6. Turnover: To bring the bottom to the topor vice versa; invert.
7. Free sample: A portion, piece, or segment that is representative of a whole and free.
8. Coupon: A negotiable certificate attached to a bond that represents a sum ofinterest due.
9. Jingle: To make a tinkling or ringing metallic sound.
10. Gimmick: something designed to attract extra attention, interest, or publicity.
11. Demonstrator: 1. One thatdemonstrates, such as a participant in a public display of opinion. 2. An article or product used in a demonstration.
12. Display: A public exhibition.
13. Intermittent: Occurring occasionallyor at regular or irregular intervals; periodic.
14. Brand: A trademark or distinctive name identifying a product or a manufacturer.
15. Boost: To raise or lift by pushing up from behind orbelow.
16. Launch: To throw or propel with force.
17. Appeal: To attract, please, stimulate, or interest.
18. Project: To throw forward.
19. Slogan: A phrase expressing the aims or natureof an enterprise, organization, or candidate.
20. Target: a reference point to shoot at.
21. Badge: A device or emblem worn as an insignia of rank, office, or membership in an organization.22. Commercial: Of or relating to commerce.
