Causes and Effects of the French Revolution

The French Revolution started when France economics started to became difficult, mostly for the increase of taxes,it was one of the richest and most powerful with nations of Europe. Louis XVI, the king of France was very unpopular and the nobility too, another reason was inequality between the First estate,clergy, the Second estate, nobility and the Third estate, the French population.
The Inequality began when the Third Estate was the only one paying taxes when the First Estate and the Second Estate didnot paid taxes. The Third Estate condition was the majority the 98 percent of the French community, they had great lands the 65 percent of the total France, but they had to paid large amounts of taxesfor everything they had.
The economy began to fall with the bad harvests and a slowdown manufacturing led to food shortages, rising prices for food, and unemployment .
In the Third Estatepolitics, they had only one vote against the First and Second Estate, so they could not win, the First and Second Estate did not care about the life of the Third Estate people.
The Bourgeoisie was anotherpart of the Third Estate, this group included about 8 percent of the population. They owned about 20 or 50 percent of the land. This group included merchants, bankers, and industrials, as well asprofessional people. All that professional people, thinkers, were unhappy with the privileges of the nobles, because they had an important role in the noble lifes.
In addition, the people of thebourgeoisie were draw to the new political ideas of the Enlightment, by knowing all the ideas of the Enlightment, the old order ultimately led them to drastic action against the monarchy.
One of thethinkers of the Enlightment that had a lot of influence in the French revolution was John Locke; he believed that people first lived with no government and no laws, another Was Adam Smith; he believed...
