What could cause people to become addicted to drugs?

There are many things that could influence an individual to experiment with illegal substances. Among those things are group pressure, depression or simple curiosity. But there are tree aspects in society that we see everyday in the news, newspapers and all overthe media that are causing people to relay on those substances: economics, the lack of proper education and dysfunctional families.
We all know this is one of the worst moments in economics history all over the world. People are doing anything they can to keep their jobs; others are working two even tree jobs a day just to pay their bills. All that stress people are going through are makingthem make decisions that probably are not the best. They are looking for ways to get away or just forget for a moment all that pressure. Others are desperate to find money. And then is when drugs come to play. They get involve in the moment, trying things release their problems and when they realize there is no turning back, they have become addicts. Cases like this we see everyday. Husbands,parents, and professionals anyone is susceptible to this problem. Stress can damage an individual state of mind, which can result on people desperate to find a quick solution to a particular problem.
Another thing very important to any person is their surrounding; family is an essential part of the development of an individual. Very often we see in many families that mom and dad are alcoholics, andtheir children have a tendency to follow their steps. All this become a vicious circle, all they know is what they see at home and they what to experiment it, at the time their teenagers the circle has complete and they have become addicts. Parents are supposed to be our role models, what can we expect from a kid that all he sees is the wrong thing? Of course there’re exceptions, but theprobability of children that are expose to that environment are significantly high to continue that patter. We can not do the wrong thing expecting good result, we got to do it right to get it right even when we know some times doesn’t work like that. That’s why we need to find ways in which we can help people like these and try to break that vicious cycle. That brings me to the next point.
The thirdaspect I want to talk about is the lack of proper education. Thus can result on a vulnerable individual to any kind of pressure or situation for that matter. Implementing orientation programs in schools how drugs can affect your system and the damages it cause on a long term it can raise awareness on reasons not to use drugs. Back when I was younger my first encounter with drugs, I was around elevenor twelve years old. My friends were a little bit older than I so they had easer access to drugs. They were always asking me if I wanted to try it. For some reason I never did, but I didn’t reject it because I knew how bad it was for me, it was because I saw how stupid they were when they were using it. My point is, that when I had my first contact to drugs I had no idea what that thing reallywas. My parents never talked about it. In school I never heard about it and that’s why I believe everyone should be involved on the education of our future. If we get schools, parents and society in general to contribute to guide them and give them all the tools they need to encounter the obstacles their going to face, they’re going to be well prepare to make better decisions.
Thereare ways to help improve this. One option can be encouraging our children to stay in school and emphasize the importance proper education, and orientations on what professions have more demands. Other way is to encourage people to supplementary education, therefore have more work options.
