This small Caribbean country has interesting things to show the world, apart from the four topicazos we all know, especially when we discover what were the different cultures that made their homethere. Its first inhabitants were the Taino arahucanos and later came the Spanish and the British that led to the islands African slaves. Therefore Jamaican cuisine is an exquisite mix of cuisines farbetween and a series of local products and unique.
Course is cooked with elements as common as fish, seafood, pork, chicken, vegetables and fruits, but also with local products of the island such as:Ackee: Original once cooked fruit that takes on the appearance and taste of a dish of scrambled eggs.
Callaloo: A vegetable similar to spinach.
Quibombó: is a fruit like a chili and used as athickener for stews and acquires a texture similar to gelatin.
Jamaican Pepper: A special pepper for its outstanding flavor and it smells like a mixture of different species.
With these ingredients and alive, tangy using different spices, we can find dishes as diverse, colorful and tasty, diverse as:
Pork allspice: Pork cooked with this typical pepper, which gives it a distinctive flavor and that itwas used by arahucanos.
Jerky: Is the name of a form of seasoning and cooking meat, fish and vegetables. Marinate the product consists of a mixture of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, garlic, onion,vinegar, soy and rum.
Pork or chicken with jerk sauce: Prepare and dried meat with a sauce marida very tangy jerk call.
Pepperpot: A soup base is prepared quimbobó, callaloo and roast beef.
Green papayaChudney: Prepared with green papaya, mango, ginger, tamarind juice, vinegar and pepper.
Summary: This is a dish prepared with different types of fish and vegetables cooked with coconut milk, peppersand spices.
Ron Rabbit: The rabbit is marinated for two days in a, also typical Jamaican rum.
Jamaican Tortilla: It is incorporated into the eggs chard, carrots, celery, potatoes and tomatoes....
