Detective.. Original Story

Silence. That was all I could hear in that room full of people, all saying what was in their minds; some arguing I should be in jail, others applying for death sentence, and some others, saying I was completely innocent and that trial was not even needed.
My name is Dan Pott and I am a specialized agent in finding out the secrets we all have, but in other words, you can call me a detective. Youmight think of me as Sherlock Holmes, but actually I’m more like a smart guy figuring things that are way too obvious but no one seems to see. I don’t dress in that long suits and a strange hat, I take that as an offense to my profession. Instead, I wear suits, all kind of suits, and on my free days I rather have my jeans and a jersey. Comfortable things for such an exquisite job, I must say.Exquisite, I dare saying, because I have everything you could dream of, starting by my big house at the beach, following by my other 10 houses spread throughout the country, and why not talk about my houses in Europe and Asia; I also have tickets to all the events you wish you could attend, the Super bowl, World Cup, Olympics and of course all the concerts of my favorite artists. But even all theluxuries I live with don’t compare to the fact that women found my job sexy. Of course, I don’t go telling every woman I meet what my job is about, I let them think of it, leaving always a doubt that, somehow, they find seductive and make them chase me, just like a mouse follows food, they have a better objective, and I must say, when woman have someone in target, they are almost as skilled as aprofessional detective. And why lie? I love how they all go behind me the minute I walk through the door. Doesn’t matter if it is in the hottest club in Las Vegas, or in a small restaurant in New York, I enjoy the company of those female creatures. I love seeing how they fight to get me. And when I say love, I mean I could pay to watch that all day, again and again. But, being honest, who wouldn’t dieto be with someone like me? So interesting, always making you want more, because as a detective I know what I should say and what I should avoid. And I don’t want you to get a wrong opinion of myself, I am a little bit arrogant, but I am so, because I can. Besides being rich, mysterious and with a sexy personality, my physical appearance is something, many man would die for. So that I don’textend myself in this, I will say I look a lot like Brad Pitt in that movie called Troy, which talks about a stupid guy being killed when his bead was hurt. Of course, I am more handsome, my hair is shorter and I am not a weak link. But enough of myself, let’s start with the fun.
Even though you might think of me as a man with no problems, enjoying life and having a super well paid job, I do haveproblems. Right now I am in a big one just for a stupid mistake. One huge mistake.
As I already said, I am a detective. I follow people, get clues, gather evidence and then come up with a stupendous and revealing surprise; something from their past no one knew. I get hired by the most important and notorious companies and people in the world. I won’t lie. My job is dangerous, and that’s why Ikeep myself alone, trusting no one, except my whole-life companion, my twin brother: Logan. But, far from the popular belief that he is identical to me, he’s just on the other side, far away from being like I am. He is my dizygotic twin. This means, he is my brother, born exactly after me, but with complete different appearance and ideas. By ideas I mean, he is married and has a daughter, Lucie.As I said, I trust no one, except Logan. He is a smart companion, looking into details, not believing on what something seems at first sight. He, I am proud to say, has the bases towards being an excellent detective, just as myself.
