SAN JUAN BOSCO
John Bosco was born in Italy an August 16, 1815. In poor condition, his father died when he was only three years. He spent his early years working as a shepherd, and received his early education from his parish priest. Over the years his appetite for study grew, but followed his poverty forced him to leave school. In 1835 he entered the seminary, and six years later was ordained apriest. He went to Turin where fervently devoted itself to work. He performed many visits to the prisons of the city, and seeing the situation where there were many children who lived in the area, abandoned to evil influences, decided to dedicate his life to rescue these little marginalized. Don Bosco began to educate street children: Suddenly, his students grow in number, drawn by a kindnessthey had never known. San Juan always could see beneath the rags and dirt of these children hardened by life, a spark that with a little effort, would become a great flame of love. Knew it was not hard, punishment or win challenges as children, but with charity and gentleness. Stimulating study could inculcating their students a sense of duty, always appreciating even the smallest effort, encouragingthem not so much to develop their intelligence, but to strengthen their will and will tune your character. "Instruction" he said, "is like an accessory: knowledge never does a man because it goes to the heart of man. Gives more power in the exercise of good and evil, but only an indifferent weapon, seeking guidance" . Unfortunately, his work in exitote Oratorio (such was the place where they metchildren) did not last long. Don Bosco was forced to deliver the rooms used, and other obstacles were superimposed. However, the holy faced these problems without ever surrendering. He continued his work, moving the Oratory at different places. His mother joined him, selling everything he had: his house and furniture. The classes were increasing, and bedrooms were added, for those who wish to livein the Oratory. Thus was born the first Salesian home. In 1854, four young men reported that the Virgin wanted him to start a company. Decided that its members would be called Salesians, in memory of St. Francis de Sales, who would be his "model of kindness in dealing with young people." Was informed about the rules of different orders, asked for advice, and finally submitted the project to PopePius IX, who in 1874 would approve. To reach this approval Don Bosco was again faced with numerous complications. But all the difficulties that Don Bosco had to overcome would be more than rewarded by the rapid expansion of its order, which would expand worldwide. The saint died in 1888. As a testament to his work at that time were 250 houses of the Salesians worldwide, with 1200 religious workingin them and more than 130,000 children entrusted to their care.

At nine he had a prophetic dream: it seemed to be in a crowd of boys returned to their games, but some of them swearing. Juanito quickly fell upon those who blasphemed, with his fists and kicks to silence them, but here it is presented a character who says, "Not with blows, but with gentleness and charity have to win these friends. .
