3. Verb + to-infinitive or verb + ing-form – with no difference in meaning –
It started raining/it started to rain.

People started leaving the theatre before the end of the play. (or People started to leave the theatre before the end of the play.)
Do you intend to make a complaint? (or Do you intend making a complaint?)
He didn’t bother to do his homework. (or Hedidn’t bother doing his homework.)
Wendy likes to take photos. (or Wendy likes taking photos.)
I hate to stand up while I am eating. (or I hate standing up while I’m eating.)
