FIGHT CLUB MOVIE ANALYSIS WITH THE CYCLE OF A CONFLICT
As we know a Conflict has different cycles, actually exist four phases in a conflict, those phases are: Latency , Conflict, Crisis andViolence. In this analysis I will say how this cycles were present in the movie Fight Club .
Latency: in this phase exists social conflicts, I saw in the movie that the protagonist that is a narrator,because his name is not mentioned in the movie, start to see that his is not ok in his health because he has insomnia, so he knows that there is something wrong and a problem is present because he is notcomfortable with himself.
Conflict: is present the grievance and there is a reaction, In the movie I saw that when the narrator looked for help, he went to a hospital and a doctor told him that hisproblem was not very important and he (the narrator) does not need medicine and that maybe if he go to a group of people with cancer, he could have a good change in his lifestyle .
Crisis: there isa collective action, there is a poor communication and the threats are present, In the movie the narrator became addict to a lot of different kind of therapies like therapies of cancer, alcoholics,etc. he became an addict because it was the only way for him to can sleep. When he knew Marla he started to have a crisis because he cannot sleep again, He started to have a lot of problems again andhis house was burned, that’s why he started to create a fight club where people could be there fighting with other people but they need to follow some important rules to be part of the club. Thenarrator was the leader of the club and also he created a lot of clubs around the country in order to have a big plan against credit cards companies , the plan was called “Project Mayhem”
