Teotihuacan, where men become gods, is the name given by the Mexica to this archaeological site located in the State of Mexico, between the towns of San Juan Teotihuacan and San Martin of thePyramids, 48 ​​kilometers northeast of the City Mexico. The climate is semi-dry with an average temperature of 15 degrees Celsius.
This ancient ceremonial center, came to have an area of ​​21 squarekilometers, and lived there more than 30 000 inhabitants.

The ancient metropolis has a main road from the magnificentbuildings which were built ceremonial order, social, civil and housing, like the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Patio of the Jaguars, and Quetzalpapálotl Citadel, manydecorated with magnificent murals which still remain valuable examples.

Avenue of the Dead. It is the main axis served to draw thecity and crosses the center of it. It is 4 kilometers long and 40 meters wide and communicates the Citadel with the Square of the Moon. A halfway out the Set Square West and the whole road is lined withhousing developments, probably occupied by priests in ancient times. The researchers named Avenue of the Dead, because it was believed that the structures housed tombs.
The Citadel. It is believedthat was the seat of city government. Located at the southern end of the ceremonial center. It was built around 200 B.C. as a quadrangle, with 400 meters long. Here are housed important religiousbuildings like the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, a central shrine housing projects, where senior leaders are believed living and priests.
