The story is written by Stephen King; It talks about a young boy who is trying to escape from the cold, He suddenly sees a restaurant in the middle of the road, he entered and felt theheat and looked around, there were four truckers in one table, a pair of old ladies and a beautiful girl sitting at the far end of the counter, He fell love at first sight with her.
He sat two stoolsdown from her and began to talk to her; suddenly a trucker interrupted them and started to bother him, the trucker gave him a hard shot across the side of the face with his open hand; the boy wastaken by anger and hit him until the trucker was lying on the ground, the short-order cook had to call an ambulance.
The boy left the place, but heard a voice saying wait! ; He turned around and looked,it was her, “You were wonderful!" she said. "My name's Nona. I'm coming with you." They had no place to go; Nona put out her thumb and a Chevrolet sedan stopped, thedriver opened the door, was a fairly big man, everything about the driver sickened him. The porky droop of his jowls, the slicked-back wigs of his hair, the smell of his cologne.
The boy decidedthat he was going to kill him, and that was when Nona put the nail file into his hand. He told to the driver to stop at the exit 14, they got out of the car and that was when the boy killed the driverusing the nail file. Now lights showed on the hill, but it was too late to stop. It was a kid driving a truck, the kid got out of the truck but the boy killed him quickly. Nona and the boy fled thescene in the truck.
Nona realized that there was a patrol car following them; they stopped, the cop got out of the patrol and started asking questions. The boy felt the anger came over him again andlooked for something to kill the cop; the boy hit him dead on, just above the forehead with a socket wrench. Nona and the boy went back to the truck and got in, but it wouldn't start, so they decided...
