Latin America scenario
Latin America region is conformed by the countries from: the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Mexico, which is in North America. The mainfactor that motive this union is the catholic religion; although all of them share features, as the language (Spanish or portueguese), they had a lasting colonial period, they are the exporter ofprimary resources to powerful countries and they are the medial between rich and insolvent people.
Besides these countries share deluxe aspects, they also had some problems in common, but we only aregoing to mention two of them. The first is the biggest and most destructive: “Narcotraffic”. It is the most devastating because it includes whole countries and generates other problems as insecurity,corruption and addictions. The second is the unemployment.
The complete circle for get the drug is realized in Latin America countries. The production is in Colombia and Peru, in special of cocaine.“Latin America concentrated all the production of cocaine’s leafs, pastes and hydrochloride of the whole world”, (Eclac, 2010). Then in the transportation participate Centro America’s countries(Panama, Costa Rica,Belice) also the Caribbean’s (Haiti, Republica Dominicana) and Mexico.
The final destiny of those making was the main consumer: U.S.A, but after the 9/11 terrorism attack, U.S.A hadincreased the security in his borders and consequently the smuggling became harder, so a huge part of the production stayed in Mexico. This issue converted Mexico also in an enormous consumer. CITAOther problems which are involved with the narcotraffic.
