Stereotypes: a false view of reality

According to wiikipedia “a stereotype is a belief about specific types of individuals…these are standardized and simplifiedconceptions of groups based on some prior assumptions”. These days in the entire world, we can find stereotypes in many categories such as gender, for example, women can’t do hard work, also inprofessions, like lawyers are liars, in the activities we do, in nationalities, about the economical position people have, and believe it or not… in music .
Stereotypes make us to have a fake idea of who/what we are dealing with; most of the time the stereotypes are neither true nor logical, for example, how can the hair color define you as clever or dumb? It’s like your intelligence could be changedat the same time you dye your hair (sarcastically, maybe when you dye your hair, your neurons work faster because the dye is like a stimuli for them). Another kind of stereotype is about the activitieswe can do or some groups of people can´t do; this example is so much extended specially in gender; boys don’t cry or man can’t do house chores, of course they can do it and it doesn’t mean that theyare homosexuals just because they express their feelings or they try to help with another activities. It’s ridiculous how people don’t change their mind in topic of stereotypes just because theybelieve is really certain and accurate, I wish they would be the one that were stereotyped so they could feel the real meaning of being stereotyped.
We lose too much time judging people about what webelieve it’s true. I think all the people in the world are free of doing what they want and how they want, also, they have the same abilities of doing everything that they set their mind in, and thatdoesn’t have to change the way that people see you; people must accept everyone for who they are, because most of the time they have a wrong idea of someone just with how they look to that person.
